Northern Lights

From the middle of September to the middle of April, we have the opportunity to watch the northern lights, dancing on the sky.

It is made of electrical particles from the sun.

They can suddenly appear, and then swiftly disappear again.

Earlier there were a lot of myths about them, and it is easy to understand, standing outside admiring the mysterious and fascinating shapes changing above our heads.

Most frequently the northern lights frequent in an oval belt around the geomagnetic Northern Pole. This oval stretch along Northern Norway. Here one can see Northern lights/aurora borealis approximately half of all clear weather nights during the winter.

Very fast moving lights makes us stay outside like paralysed, just staring up to the sky. You never get tired of admiring them.
