Dog Sledging

It is fantastic. Under the Arctic night sky we are going gentle uphill without effort, hauled by dogs whose only noise is a gentle effort-driven panting. The whole thing does seem unreal. It is so far removed, not only from my normal run of experience, but from anything I have ever done that it seems beyond the realms of reality, a fantasy production, a dream come true.

The friendly Alaskan huskies are very strong and hardworking. They really appreciate a good run.

Dogsledging is Norways most increasing sport at the time. Norway has been doing very good in the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska lately, with two victories, a 3^rd and a 4^th place in three years, so the media has given it a lot of attention and recruited more enthusiasts.
